To guarantee API availability every plan is capped to make an X amount of requests per 60 minutes. By default all our plans are included with 2000 requests per 60 minutes per endpoint. If you are in need of a higher ratelimit then please contact email@example.com.
How The Ratelimiter Works.
As said in the introduction every plan is capped to make X requests per 60 minutes per endpoint. This means that if you make more requests then you are allowed to you will hit the ratelimit and receive a
429 response with the message "Too many requests".
The ratelimiter starts working when the first of X requests has been made. Please note that X is the ratelimit attached to your subscription. if you make the first of X requests at, let's say, 18:18 UTC it will be reset at 19:18. Information about the current amount of calls as well as the reset time can be found in the response headers of the requests.
When You Hit The Ratelimiter
Whenever the amount of PI calls per endpoint exceeds the number you are allowed to and further requests for the remaining time will be blocked and you will face a
429 response. We can provide you with a detailed request log which will help you debug your application and find the possible leak. To get this request log you need to contact firstname.lastname@example.org. The team is happy to track down the problem.
