Christopher Nkunku was the top scorer of the 2022/2023 season. In 25 games he scored 16 matches. Niclas Füllkrug scored 16 as well but needed 28 games to do so. Randal Kolo Muani scored 15 goals in 32 matches, while Vicenzo Grifo scored 15 goals in 33 matches. The top three was completed by Serge Gnabry who scored 14 goals in 34 matches. Randal Kolo Muani also had 14 assists. Jamal Musiala provided 13 assists, while the top three was completed by Raphaël Guerreiro who provided 12 assists.

Hertha and Schalke relegated directly. Stuttgart was relegated after the playoffs after being ranked 16th (one point behind Augsburg). Another three points would have been enough to become the number 14-12 and be safe for relegation.
The final matchday would decide if Dortmund or Bayern would take the title. Dortmund only had to win the match in their home ground. However, they didn’t and therefore they were not able to decide the battle for the league themselves after a 2-2 draw versus Mainz. They were depended on the result of Köln versus Bayern that was played at the same time. Bayern won 1-2 and became the Bundesliga Champions.
