İlkay Gündoğan

The 32-year-old midfielder won the treble with Manchester City this season. The central midfielder joined City in 2016 and won a lot of titles. His contract at Manchester expires, and he has been offered an extension several times. Pep Guardiola wants to keep him at the club by all means necessary. Gündoğan was an important player this season with 51 matches, eleven goals scored, and seven assists given.

We are very interested in his future. Wherever his future may lay, he is a great midfielder and displayed fantastic form this season.

Marco Asensio

Marco Asensio seems to be leaving Real Madrid after his contract expiration date. However, his future remains to be determined after numerous contract talks have failed. The 27-year-old played 51 matches, scored twelve goals, and gave eight assists to his teammates.

It remains unclear where the Spaniard will be playing next season.

Roberto Firmino

Another exciting player without a contract next season is Roberto Firmino. The Brazilian can play multiple positions. The 31-year-old played 35 matches and scored thirteen goals. Besides that, he gave five assists.

Rumours are he is joining this year’s champions of Spain, FC Barcelona. However, no official announcement has been made.

Milan Škriniar

The 28-year-old centre-back seems to be on his new out at Inter. He played 31 matches and gave one assist. He seems to be joining the champions of France, Paris Saint-Germain. He confirmed the possibility of a transfer to PSG. He hasn’t played since March 14 because of injuries.

N’Golo Kanté

Kanté is set to leave Chelsea. After a season disaster for The Blues with a 12th place in the Premier League standings, he will be on his way to Saudi Arabia. He only played nine games this season and gave one assist.

Interestingly, the 32-year-old midfielder reportedly wants to buy a Belgian third-tier team.

Luka Modrić

Luka Modrić is probably extending his contract at Real Madrid. However, it is still not entirely sure. The 37-year-old played 52 matches for Real Madrid, scored six goals, and gave six assists.

He just played in the Nations League with Croatia against the Netherlands. He played 119 minutes. You read that right; he is 37 years old and played 119 minutes in the semi-finals of the Nations League.

Adrien Rabiot

The 28-year-old Frenchman had a terrible season with Juventus. His club was sanctioned, then it wasn’t, and in the end, they still lost many points due to sanctions. He played 48 matches, scoring eleven times and assisting a teammate six times.

It is unclear where the Frenchman is going, but many clubs are interested. Rabiot himself seems to steer on an adventure in the Premier League.

Marcus Thuram

In the 32 matches he played for Borussia Mönchengladbach this season, Thuram scored sixteen goals and gave seven assists. The French 25-year-old seems to have a couple of clubs interested in him.

PSG seems to be the club that is the lucky one to sign the striker.

Evan N’Dicka

The 23-year-old central defender is considering joining AS Roma on a free transfer. He played 44 matches for Eintracht Frankfurt, scored two goals, and gave one assist. He is not officially announced, but Roma confirmed there was a deal.

Wilfried Zaha

Zaha is known for his pace and skills. The leftwinger/striker played 28 matches for Crystal Palace. He scored seven goals and gave three assists to his teammates.

His future may lie in the Saudi Pro League. However, he wants to join a club that plays in the Champions League next season. The odds are momentarily in favour of Ligue 1 teams.

Raphaël Guerreiro

The 29-year-old played 36 matches and scored six goals while giving 14 assists to his teammates. He barely missed the Bundesliga Championship with Borussia Dortmund. On the last day of the Bundesliga, Dortmund couldn’t secure the championship.

It seems he was pretty sick of that, as he is set to join archrival Bayern Münich after his contract expires.

Toni Kroos

The 33-year-old German midfielder is almost at the end of his contract at Real Madrid. The Spanish club secured a couple of great youthful midfielders in the last couple of years. You can think of Camavinga, Valverde, Tchouaméni and now Bellingham. However, Toni Kroos is set to sign a contract extension with Real Madrid pretty soon.

Jonathan Bamba

Jonathan Bamba is a leftwinger who played in the Ligue 1 in his last seven seasons. The 27-year-old’s contract will expire this summer after playing for Lille for five seasons. This season Bamba scored six goals and gave seven assists. According to rumours, Olympique Marseille, Real Betis, and Fiorentina are fighting for his signature.

Daichi Kamada

Daichi Kamada is a 26-year-old midfielder from Japan. He has been an Eintracht Frankfurt player for six seasons, but his contract will expire this summer. The midfielder has had a fantastic season for Frankfurt scoring nine goals and giving seven assists. Kamada’s contract is expiring, and he is rumoured to join AC Milan next season.

David de Gea

David de Gea is in the hearts of any Manchester United fan. The Spanish goalkeeper signed in 2011 for Manchester United after a transfer from Atletico Madrid. After being the first goalkeeper for the Premier League side for 12 seasons and having played over 350 competition games, his contract will expire this summer. Most rumours and fans are suggesting that De Gea will extend his contract, but at this current moment, it’s looking likely that the 32-year-old goalkeeper will be a free agent this summer.

Adama Traoré

Adama Traore is a football player known for his strong/athletic physique. The 27-year Spanish right-winger uses baby oil on his arms before games, so defenders have a hard time touching him. The powerhouse is a free agent after his contract with Wolves expires after six seasons with the club, including a loan spell with FC Barcelona. Adama Traore played 34 Premier League matches this season, scoring in two and assisting in one.

Tom Davies

Tom Davies is a one-club player that will be leaving Everton. The English midfielder has played at Everton since his youth and for the first team for eight seasons. After eight seasons, his contract expires at Everton, which means the midfielder is looking to take on a new challenge in his career. In his eight seasons for Everton, the midfielder scored 6 Premier League goals and gave five assists. It’s unknown where the midfielder will be playing next season, but it’s rumoured he prefers a stay in the Premier League.

Lucas Moura

Tottenham and Brazil winger Lucas Moura will be available as a free agent this summer. The player will mostly be remembered for scoring a hattrick in the Champions League against Ajax, including a 96’th minute winner. By scoring this hattrick, the Brazilian shot Tottenham Hotspur to a Champions League final. Lucas Moura has been injured for almost the whole season; in the four games he played this season, he scored three goals and is now available for any club to pick up without paying a transfer fee!

Stefan de Vrij

31-year-old Dutch centre-back Stefan de Vrij, his contract will be running out this summer. The defender has only played for three clubs: Feyenoord, Lazio and Champions League finalist Inter Milan. In his four seasons at Inter Milan, the defender scored eight goals for the club in the Serie A.

Chris Smalling

After four seasons at AS Roma, 33 years old Chris Smalling his contract will expire. The England defender has played over ten seasons in the Premier League before moving to AS Roma, where he scored nine goals in four seasons. Smalling will undoubtedly be on the watch list of many clubs this summer!

Reiss Nelson

Reiss Nelson is another player that will be out of contract this summer. After being on loan at Feyenoord, the 23-year-old English winger returned to Arsenal this season. For Arsenal, Reiss Nelson scored three goals and gave two assists in 11 games in the Premier League. Arsenal fans will especially remember his 97th-minute winning goal against Bournemouth!

Bonus: Lionel Messi and friends

Lionel Messi had an expired contract at PSG and signed a contract with Inter Miami. This has been known for quite some time now. However, he might be joined by another Argentinian, Ángel Di María.

Ángel Di María is a free agent this summer! The Argentinian winger might have the biggest career of all free agents. The 35-year-old has played for SL Benfica, Real Madrid, Manchester United, PSG and Juventus and is now available for a free transfer!

There were more rumours, though. Jordi Alba, Sergio Busquets, Antoine Griezmann, and Luis Suárez all would join one of the best players ever to touch a ball. However, rumours have been staggering, and Suárez already said he was happy at Grêmio. Jordi Alba is eyeballed by Premier League clubs, and for Griezmann, that same rumour is going around. Sergio Busquets has been offered a fantastic opportunity to earn money in Qatar. So, after all the rumours, we still don’t know the future of any of these players except Messi.
