What is a transfer rumours API?

A transfer rumours API delivers football transfer speculation as structured data instead of scattered posts and headlines. Each rumour is a single JSON object that links a real player to the club he might leave and the club he is linked with, and carries a probability rating, a named source with a deep link to the original report, the date, the rumour type (transfer, loan or contract extension) and the reported fee when the press names a number.

Transfer rumours drive some of the highest engagement in football apps. Fans follow every potential signing, club negotiation and player movement, but rumours move fast and monitoring social media quickly turns into a maintenance nightmare. Clean, structured rumour data linked directly to players, teams and competitions means you build the feature, not the pipeline.

What does the probability rating mean?

Probability expresses how solid the reporting behind a rumour is, on four levels: IMMINENT, HIGH, MEDIUM and LOW. It ranks signal over noise. In one real July 2026 feed of 25 rumours, 20 were LOW and only 2 were IMMINENT. Use it to decide which rumours to push as alerts, which to list and which to skip.

Which sources does the Transfer Rumours API include?

Rumours are collected from named journalists and outlets. A single real feed included Fabrizio Romano, Florian Plettenberg, Gianluca di Marzio, Bild, ESPN, the Daily Mail, Goal, talkSPORT and Sky Sport Italia, among others. Every rumour carries its source name and a deep link to the original report, so attribution is built into the data.

How often is transfer rumour data updated?

New rumours and updates are added throughout the transfer cycle. Activity peaks around the summer and winter transfer windows, and rumours keep flowing between windows as sagas develop: the July 2026 sample feed contained rumours dated from October 2025 through July 2026.
